Dr. Arenson completed his premedical education at Loyola University, Chicago. He obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree at the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine (Cum Laude), and completed a two year post-graduate residency training program in foot & ankle surgery at the Northlake Community Hospital. He accepted a professorship in Foot & Ankle Surgery at the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine and at the same time, began private practice. Dr. Arenson directed a postgraduate residency training program in Foot & Ankle Surgery at Roosevelt Memorial Hospital and trained residents and students in the latest procedures. He currently is Chairman of the Department of Foot & Ankle Surgery at Alexian Brothers Medical Center.

Dr. Arenson conducted both basic science and clinical research in the field of foot & ankle surgery and has published over 20 papers in mainstream professional journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association, Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery and Foot & Ankle International.

He is a Diplomat in the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (Board Certified), a Fellow in the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgery and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Arenson participates in more than 50 hours per year of continuing medical education in order to keep his skills current and progressive.
